Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Eliza Schmidt captured a top-10 finish for the Iowa High School State Diving Meet in Iowa City on Thursday, as swimming teammates of Finlee Burns and Emma Popp have advanced to their respective finals today.

ADM partners with the Waukee School District for swimming and diving. In the 11-dive category, Schmidt tallied eighth place overall with a score of 392.95, behind her Warrior teammate of Neelie Streit, who marked 7th with a 393.15.

For the swimming portion, it was the preliminary round, with both individuals and teams needing to qualify for the finals today. Of those, Tiger junior Finlee Burns made it individually in the 100 Yard Butterfly, then is going as a team for the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and 200 Yard Medley Relay. ADM senior Emma Popp was also apart of the 200 Yard Medley Relay, and then qualified in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.

The swimming finals are taking place at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center today at noon. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you the results of the meet tomorrow morning.
