The Stuart Police Department Community Programs is getting ready for their last events of the year.
Stuart Police Sergeant Katie Guisinger says that she’s sending out nomination forms for their fourth annual Shop with a Cop, coming up on December 13th. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there is something coming up on a closer date, which is the Stuart Emergency Services Christmas.
“Usually there’s hot dogs, chips, and hot cocoa there for kind of like a light lunch. I do the cookie decorating table and I also have a lot of free holiday themed books to give away. I know there’s a craft table for kids to be able to just kind of make something and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there this year and they’ll be taking photos and they’ll be printing those off so people can take a photo home with them.”
Guisinger mentions that the event will be held on November 29th, which is also Small Business Saturday. She adds that it will take place at the Stuart Fire Station from 11am to 1pm.
