The Perry City Council met in regular session on Monday.

The council approved a resolution for the site plan for the JBS Sausage Plant, located at 192 Soumas Avenue, in Perry. The resolution included consent from the council to permit barbed wire fencing around a portion of the facility.

The council also approved a resolution for a voluntary annexation of property owned by Semper Fi Commercial Solutions following a public hearing.

Other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution to appoint two members to the 2026 Dallas County E911 Board, appointing a representative to the Dallas County Emergency Management Commission for 2026, a resolution for the fiscal year 2025 Iowa Department of Transportation Street Finance Report, a resolution to certify tax increment finance debt to the Dallas County Auditor, a resolution to accept the Annual Urban Renewal fiscal year 2025 report   and a resolution to accept the fiscal year 2025 annual financial report.
