The leader of the West Central Valley Girls Basketball Team credits the athletes on their determination in preparation for the 2025-26 season.
Head Coach Dan Druivenga explains that it takes a full team effort between the players and coaches to have a successful season. He notes that he sees the love being poured in by the Assistant Coaches of William Greenwood and David Brumley on a daily basis. In addition, Druivenga recognizes that it takes discipline on the part of his players to come to practice and doesn’t take that for granted.
“Getting up and getting there at 6:15(am) and going through an hour and 15 minutes of practice, I have to commend them. They did really well at doing that.”
Druivenga mentions that the type of work ethic the girls display is what brings him the most joy. The Wildcats fell 37-36 against Creston in their home opener on Monday, and will travel to Lamoni this coming Monday for a matchup at 6pm.
