The Mustangs basketball teams play their first doubleheader of the season tonight with the girls tipping off their home opener at 6 pm with the boys to follow at the DCG Meadows Main Gym.

Both squads take on the ADM Tigers Tuesday night. The girls bring in a 2-0 record with commanding wins on the road against Ballard and North Polk. The boys team opens their season at home in front of what is expected to be a packed house. Last season, the boys went 19-6 overall and took the Little Hawkeye Conference by storm with a perfect 11-0 record. The boys fell just short of a date with the Wells Fargo Center in downtown Des Moines as they lost the substate final in Valley to end their season.
