A new event at the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library was so popular in its inaugural event that a second meeting has already been scheduled.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that the Crafts and Connect day on Monday went very well with those in attendance. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio more about the event itself.

“Craft and Connect is just an opportunity for you to bring in whatever craft you might be working on at home that’s mobile that you can bring in and just connect. Time to socialize with some other crafters and just have some laughs and have a cup of coffee or a nice tea or water or whatever and oh just visit with some people.”

Hawkins mentions that this gives individuals somewhere different for a change of pace and scenery to go and work on their own craft, or maybe take the opportunity to learn a new one, or even teach about one they enjoy. She adds that the second Craft and Connect will be December 8th at 4pm.
