An Iowa House Representative recently was recognized by the Iowa State Sheriff’s and Deputies’ Association.
Representative for District 47 Carter Nordman received the prestigious ISSDA Gold Star Award for his tireless support of Iowa law enforcement and dedication to public safety initiatives across the state. This honor is one of the most highly-regarded recognitions in Iowa for public servants committed to community protection.
Given annually to a maximum of five individuals, the award celebrates those who exemplify the ISSDA’s mission: “To Serve and Protect the People of Iowa.” Recipients are meticulously chosen by sheriffs and deputies from the ISSDA Legislative Committee and Board of Directors, who work closely with policymakers on vital law enforcement and public safety matters. The strict eligibility requirements emphasize the award’s exclusivity and high standing within the law enforcement community. Nordman’s district includes Greene, Guthrie, and northwest Dallas Counties.
