
The AC/GC Chargers basketball teams are in action on the road tonight.
The teams will be facing off against the Van Meter Bulldogs. On the girls side, the Chargers have won two of the last three games, though the Bulldogs lead the series 20-10. For AC/GC, junior Olivia Mahaffy and senior Camdyn Richter lead in scoring with 14 points apiece, with junior Stella Largent leading in rebounds with an average of eight per game, and senior Karli Kautzky leading in assists by averaging four per game. For Van Meter, junior Avery Banks leads in scoring with 15 points per game, while senior Burkli Harkins leads in rebounds with seven per game, and seniors Alex Hogensen and Ella Rosic, along with junior Macy Hyer lead in assists with three per game.
For the boys, Chargers senior Tommy Skram leads in scoring with 21.5 points per game, while junior Preston Kent leads in rebounds with 4.5 per game. Skram, Kent and senior Joe Crawford all lead in assists, each with an average of 2.5 per game. For the Bull Dogs, senior Luke Steinfeldt leads in scoring with 22 points per game, while fellow senior Brody Notz leads in rebounds and assists with 11 and six respectively.
The girls game begins at 6pm, with the boys to follow. The games will be broadcast live by the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network on the KKRF2 online live stream, and the KKRF2 free mobile app.
