The Panorama Girls Basketball Team has played in seven games in the first half of the season, but Head Coach Randy Miller is enjoying some quality time with the girls during winter break.
The Panthers are currently 2-5, possessing victories against West Central Valley and Interstate 35, then fell to Woodward-Granger, IKM-Manning, Madrid, Earlham, and AC/GC. With the team on winter break, Head Coach Randy Miller highlights that the girls recently did a “Secret Santa” event as well as a Christmas Party at Assistant Coach Aly Dahlhauser’s house. He notes that coaching the girls is great, but tries not to lose the fact that they are adolescents.
“Just try to do some things where you try to get the girls together, and let them just have fun and be kids, and have a good time with each other, and just enjoy each other’s company. Because you get in practice and sometimes things get heated, and they get frustrated with each other, and get frustrated with coaches or me. And so, it’s good to get them together to kind of build some of that bond of team.”
Miller adds that the girls will have team meals throughout the season as well to build that chemistry. Panorama returns to the gym for game action this coming Monday in Pleasantville, taking on the Trojans at 6:15pm.
