We know the Stuart Farmer’s Market is a great place to buy fresh, local produce, but next week it will also be place to get your flu shot. Stephanie Claussen is the Community Health Coordinator for Adair County and said the reason behind offering flu shots at a farmer’s market was more about convenience than anything, “we’re just trying to get out there into the community and make it more accessible. I know sometimes people are working, and have a hard time getting into clinics during office hours, so we’re just trying to make flu shots more available to everyone. All people six months and older are recommended to get a flu shot each season.”
Flu shots will be given next Wednesday, October 15th at the Stuart Farmer’s Market, between 4:30 and 6:30 pm. The cost is $30, and private insurance can be billed if available.
