Jayettes wrestling returned to the matt at Panorama High School for the first time in 2026 on Tuesday. The Jayettes faced off against wrestlers from ACGC, Atlantic, Creston, and Panorama to name a few.
The Jayettes worked on the matt as if they had never taken time off, with Cate Erickson and Amelie Canales taking first place in Panora with neither of them allowing a single point from their opponents. At 120, Canales would defeat Esme Capra of Creston by tech fall, 15-0 to claim first place, alongside Erickson at 130 defeating Alainah Galanakis of Creston by decision 7-0. Hanna Sucher also found success, defeating Christina Strand of Creston by fall in 31 seconds to claim second place.
Jayettes wrestling is back in full swing after a dominate showing in the first meet back of 2026 and return to action on Saturday, traveling to Ogden High School for the Ogden Girls Wrestling Invitational.
