The organizers for the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa have announced this year’s route, and one stop is in Guthrie County.

This year’s route begins in Onawa on July 19th, and ends in Dubuque on July 25th. The overnight stops have been announced, and Guthrie Center will be the stopping point on day two, after bicyclists make the 53.9 mile trek from Harlan. Once the cyclists have rested for the night, they will head out on Tuesday to get to Boone. This year’s trip is a total of 391 miles, with 16,027 feet of elevation climb. Sunday July 19th: Onawa to Harlan
Monday July 20th: Harlan to Guthrie Center
Tuesday July 21st: Guthrie Center to Boone
Wednesday July 22nd: Boone to Marshaltown
Thursday July 23rd: Marshalltown to Independence
Friday July 24th: Independence to Dyersville
Saturday July 25th: Dyersville to Dubuque
