
The first year high school bowling conference Heart of the Raccoon holds its girls’ conference tournament today in Ames at Perfect Games. Coach John Woodford and the Greene County Rams will be action along with ADM, Ballard (Huxley), Bondurant-Farrar, Carroll, Gilbert, and Nevada. The Rams and Cubs are the only two Heart of Iowa Activities Conference schools in the new league, along with the other five, all from the Raccoon River Activities Conference.
Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright told Raccoon Valley Radio the new league gives bowlers the opportunities a conference affords, such as being conference champions, all-conference performers, and competing within a conference.
The boys’ will have their conference meet next month at Perfect Games in Ames.
