February will have some fun nights in Guthrie Center.

The Guthrie County Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation are hosting three Bingo Nights in February. Foundation Director Dennis Flanery tells Raccoon Valley Radio the Auxiliary is the main lead for the fundraising events, and why they hold them.

“They use those funds for purchasing equipment and providing services here at the hospital. Before each of the bingo nights, there are some nonprofit groups that will be having a meal. So it also provides some different groups a chance to raise some money through a meal.”

Flanery mentions that each night will begin with the meal from 4:45-6pm, followed by Bingo from 6-8pm. He adds that it is $1 per card per game, $20 for two cards for the night or $30 for three cards for the night. Bingo nights will be held February 5th, 19th and 26th at the Guthrie Center Activity Center, though if school is cancelled for Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center schools on those days, the Bingo night will be cancelled as well.
