US Congressman for Iowa’s 3rd District Zach Nunn has done some work to try and keep spending in check.
Nunn mentions working with other legislators on a bill that would attempt to have the US government actually have a working budget, and not just spend blindly like with a credit card. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio how that would work.
“Passing an appropriations bill that actually holds departments and agencies, but also Washington accountable our first informant on my mind here we have moved forward for the first time in you know almost living memory with an actual appropriations process not just a continuing resolution.”
Nunn says that in conjunction with working on this, he’s also going after scams and spam callers, where unsavory entities go after the personal information of US residents. He adds that this could help keep individuals from being scammed into sending money they can’t afford to spare.
