The last chance for those looking to update their Medicare Part D may do so now with Greene County Medical Center’s help.
The medical center offers counselors with Iowa’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program to help you with any prescription drug plans for next year, compare plans and assist with enrollment options for a plan that fits your needs with Medicare Part D. SHIIP counselors are available every Tuesday morning at the medical center to help give you information.
Last year, about 80% of people who compared plans with the help of SHIIP saved money by changing their plans for the next year. Today through December 7th is the last chance for individuals to either change plans for 2015 or enroll in a plan if you missed the deadline to enroll earlier.
To schedule an appointment with a SHIIP counselor, call the medical center at 386-2114.
