The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball Team played in the Class 3A Region 6 Semifinal game in Adel on Thursday versus Benton, winning 76-35 to get to the championship match next week.

The Tigers jumped on the Bobcats early in the first quarter, putting up 27 points, holding Benton to just 6. The offense picked up for the Bobcats in the second quarter, notching 13 points, but still found themselves behind at 41-19 for the halftime break. ADM used a big third quarter, outscoring Benton 22-7 to extend out to a 63-26 lead, then would roll to a comfortable 76-35 victory.

The Tigers’ top three scorers were senior Hudson Lorensen with 24 points, followed by senior Trey Bryte’s 12, and senior Hudson Shull, who added 9 points. On the Bobcats side, senior Eli Patterson and junior Kaleb Hayden tallied 11 points each, then it was junior Brooks Mitchell-Birdsell chipping in with 7 points.

Benton’s season ends at 13-10, while ADM improves to 21-2 on the year and will face Nevada in the Class 3A Region 6 Championship game on Monday in Adel for an opportunity to head to the state tournament.
