One of the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library’s relatively new events remains popular with patrons.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins mentions that their Craft and Connect started as a one time thing, but that they immediately received requests to bring it back, and it’s become a weekly occurrence. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it has only grown in popularity since.

“We have had lots of people. Some Mondays it’s 10 people, and other times it’s four or five. So as it works with people’s schedules on Mondays, they come in. But we’ve had lots of people just really enjoying that time to come in and visit with other crafters and get some new ideas.”

Hawkins mentions that attendees find it fun to work around others that are also having fun with a craft. She adds that Craft and Connect is every Monday night from 4-6pm.
