Monday morning, Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center administration was made aware of a threat towards the high school.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, they are working with administration to make sure that students and staff remain safe, and have increased law enforcement presence to do so. The Sheriff’s Office says at this time buildings in the AC/GC district are following a lockout protocol, meaning no visitors are allowed in. Daily activities remain as normal outside of that, and the situation remains under investigation, but there is no active threat inside the school building. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
