Senior Karagyn Whelchel wraps up her basketball career with the Perry Jayettes with more accolades, as her hard work in the classroom earned her recognition on the 2025-26 Basketball Academic All State Team.

To qualify for the Academic All State Team, the athlete must be a senior and meet the following criteria:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.85 AND
• ACT score of 27 or higher OR
• Class Rank in 10% for class 4A

As the lone senior on the Jayettes squad this season, Karagyn’s hard work on the court as a starter and off the court in the classroom resulted in Whelchel being recognized on the 2025-26 Basketball Academic All State Team.
