The 2025-26 Track and Field season kicks off for the West Central Valley Boys Team at the end of the month in Earlham.

Last season for the Wildcats, the first two meets of the year were cancelled, including the Earlham Early Bird and the Nodaway Valley Coed Meets. West Central Valley’s best place finish came at the Crawford Invitational in Osceola, where the Wildcats garnered fifth overall. As a team, they captured 11th in the Class 2A State Qualifying Meet in Clarinda.

Key athletes returning this year for West Central Valley include now-sophomores Ethan Balsmeier, Grayson Nims, Kael Sawyers, and Cody Rodriguez, followed by now-seniors Aiden Brandon, Bradlee Alm, and Connor Beane.

The Wildcats will get the season rolling on March 31st in Earlham for the Early Bird Meet, featuring 12 other schools.
