West Central Valley senior Kayla Bartholomew has enjoyed her time in a Wildcat Bowling uniform, and hopes other blind athletes continue to make positive strides.

Bartholomew competes in the adaptive division, and got in through the Heartland Bowling Program For the Blind. She mentions that she is competitive, but more than anything, she wants to see her teammates perform well. Bartholomew says she’s extremely grateful for her coaches, who constantly give her advice on the best strategies on the bowling lane. She loves bowling for the community of Stuart.

“It’s a good way to represent my school, and hopefully I can be a good example for adaptive people.”

During her high school career, Bartholomew made back to back state tournament appearances in the adaptive division, finishing as the runner-up this season.
