Panorama freshman Ines Gimeno-Perez had an impressive showing for the 2025-26 basketball season, stepping up in many ways.

Gimeno-Perez appeared in all 23 games for the Panthers this year, and was second on the team in points scored with 183 on 29 percent shooting and 28 percent from the three-point line. The top three teams in the West Central Conference this season were Des Moines Christian, AC/GC, and Earlham. Gimeno-Perez shares how she believes playing those schools helped strengthen Panorama throughout the season.

“Since they have been tough teams to play, we’ve gotten better and learned to fight through those tough teams.”

Gimeno-Perez also grabbed 92 rebounds, tallied 28 assists, and stole the ball away 43 times. The Panthers concluded the year with an 8-15 record (6-9 WCC) and lost to Westwood in the Class 2A Regional Second Round game on February 20th.
