Tight End Jesse Miller

College football teams have Spring practices underway and 2023 Greene County High School graduate Jesse Miller is a tight end for the Coyotes of the University of South Dakota. Miller saw starting duty for USD last Fall for the “run first” offense, but he did catch a touchdown pass for the first time in his career.

Miller had ankle surgery early this year and has been rehabbing the last few months. He talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the team and his progress. “The coaches told me they aren’t really rushing me back into things, I mean this is my third year. If I don’t have the offense down by now, I never will (chuckles). Getting back into the swing of things and I’m really excited for this Spring and Summer. I’ll be full-go contact by the end of Spring ball, so that’s exciting.”

The ‘Yotes struggled to get in the win column prior to Miller’s arrival in Vermillion, but they are now a regular in the FCS (Football Championship Series) playoffs.
