On Monday, the Perry Bluejays soccer team played host to the ADM Tigers to open up the 2026 season opener. Perry picked up the victory against the Tigers, with two Bluejays scoring in the first half to secure a 2-0 victory.

Perry had a strong start in the first half, with the Bluejays applying pressure to the Tigers from the opening whistle. With 15 minutes left in the first half, George Krohn struck first, notching in the first Bluejay goal putting Perry above ADM 1-0. Four minutes later with 10:52 left in the first half, Brandon Reyes secured the second and final goal of the match. In the second half, ADM applied more pressure and had four shots on goals within two minutes but the Bluejays defense held on securing a 2-0 victory.

Perry advances to 1-0 and prepares for two games on Saturday, traveling to Mediacom stadium to face off against Des Moines North and Des Moines Hoover.
