Boys tennis and girls track and field were in action on Friday night and each group had moments to remember.
Mustangs boys tennis was at the home of the Toreadores Friday evening for the Boone Invite. It was a five-team event and several DCG athletes earned medals. Brendan Fitzhugh took bronze in #1 singles, then Fisher Krob did the same in #2 singles. Both doubles teams of Logan Halverson/Kai Enderline and Max Johansen/Caleb Hanson played well enough to earn third place and bronze medals of their own. The last team out on the court was Aaron Bonefas/Parker Rusch in the final doubles grouping and they earned silver.
Girls track and field was at the Northwest Relays where they faced stout competition against 16 other schools. No DCG team or athlete made it into the top three in any event and in fact it was Addison Dooley in 1500m in 4th place who placed the highest for the Mustangs on the day.
Boys tennis will be back tomorrow afternoon against Pella Christian while the girls track team will go on Tuesday at home.
