Those looking for something to do this week can join the Dallas County Conservation Board for a trio of programs.
Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker says the first will be an Earth Day Clean Up at Snyder Tract from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. She invites area residents to celebrate Earth Day by working alongside conservation board staff to clean up the hidden gem of a habitat in the North Raccoon River Wildlife Area.
A Youth Fishing Clinic will then be held from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday at Glissman Conservation Area. Baker details that participants will learn fishing basics and how to identify fish species while exploring one of the conservation board’s best-kept secrets. She adds that all ages are welcome.
The week will wrap up with a Spring Ephemeral Wildflower Hike from 2-3 p.m. that same day at Voas Nature Area.
While the programs are free, Baker says registration is required through the conservation board’s Eventbrite page.
