There was plenty of thunder, lightning, and rain late afternoon Thursday and into the evening hours. None of the Greene County high school activities on the schedule were held, so sunny skies predicted for today will be welcome.

The Rams have girls’ soccer on the schedule at Webster City. The varsity is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with the JV contest to follow. Coach Wes Anderson’s Rams are not only looking for the first win of the season, but their first goal as well.

Also on the schedule for today is girls’ golf at the Southeast Valley (Gowrie) Invite set for the Oak Park Golf Course. Coach Heath Telleen’s team hopes to continue what so far has been a very successful season.
