The public is invited to attend a free event with the 2025 Great American Main Street winner.

Jefferson Matters Director Matt Wetrich says the Community Appreciation event is planned for tomorrow at 2pm at RVP~1875. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio after welcoming remarks are made, Jefferson Matters President Amy Milligan will give an overview of what the organization did in 2025. Wetrich points out that they will then recognize the Forces Under 40 awardee with Shelby Wiggins before honoring the Above and Beyond the Call (ABC) Award winners for 2025: Steve and Julie Karber. He talks about some of the other details of the program.

“Then we’ll be highlighting some of our other five and ten year volunteers, and then we’re going to be recognizing a business this year. We’re going to save that for the day of to talk more about and something new we’re going to do with that. So that’ll be a special thing.”

Wetrich adds that the event is free and open to the public with refreshments served, and doors will be at 1:30pm.
