Those looking for something to do outside can join the Dallas County Conservation Board for a hike.

Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker says a Spring Ephemeral Wildflower Hike will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday at Voas Nature Area.

Baker explains that each spring, the forest floor comes alive with a brief show of colorful wildflowers. She encourages community members to join a naturalist to hike the woodlands of Voas Nature Area in search of these elusive ephemerals.

While the program is free, Baker says registration is required through the conservation board’s Eventbrite page.
