The AC/GC Chargers track and field teams took part in the Bob Clark Relays in Audubon last night.
The girls team scored 60 points, finishing 5th overall. The team had 13 scoring performances, with three top three finishes. Cadence Petersen took 2nd in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.89, while Brooklyn Schafer finished 2nd in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:55.16, and Caydence Boals recorded a 3rd place finish in the shot put with a throw of 32 feet 4 inches.
The boys team scored 82 points, finishing 3rd overall. The team had 16 scoring performances, with six top three finishes. Gold medal performances came from Brexton Schneider in the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 15.03 seconds, the 4×100 meter relay team with a time of 44.9 seconds, and the shuttle hurdle relay team with a time of 1:02.47. Silver medalists include Joe Crawford in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.51 seconds, and the 4×800 meter relay team with a time of 9:28.59, and the bronze medal placement came with Jack Sheeder’s throw of 44ft 4 inches in the shot put.
