The Adel City Council met in regular session on Tuesday.

Adel Mayor Tim Crannell awarded certificates of appreciation to Programming and Community Outreach Librarian Jessica Delp and Wastewater Operator Elijah Kasap for their five years of service.

Items that were approved included the second reading of an ordinance amending the zoning classification of a property on Highway 6 from single family residential to highway commercial and setting a public hearing for May 26 on the proposal to convey vacated right-of-way to Dallas County.

The Adel City Council will now hold meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The meetings will be held in the Adel Public Library Community Room, 303 S 10th Street, Adel, and are open to the public.
