A notice for everyone in Greene County that the severe weather sirens will be tested later today.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio that at 1pm all of the severe weather sirens in the entire county will be re-tested. He says there was some maintenance done on a couple of the sirens in the county, and so all of the sirens will be tested to make sure the entire system is working properly. 

Williams stresses that the sirens are only being tested and there is no active severe weather in the area. He adds that one full rotation will be sounded at 1pm for the test.
