Panorama Soccer senior Taylor Fronapfel and younger sister junior Jamie outline the dynamic the other pairs of sisters bring to the team.
Outside of the Fronapfel’s, there are four other sets of sisters, including Morgan and Ashley Crees, Hailey and Hannah Hellman, Nerea and Ines Gimeno-Perez, plus Karli and Kailee Kautzky. The Fronapfel sisters explain that their father was a soccer player when he was younger, and introduced them to the game. Jamie points out that her relationship with Taylor is good, as sometimes situations can become tense out on the field between the other sisters.
“Me and Taylor don’t really argue very much, and then it’s weird seeing their sister dynamic on the field, it’s just very stressful.”
Although each pair of sisters have their own relationship, Taylor highlights that having proper communication is vital.
“When we don’t communicate, we tend to not pass or do anything. And we’re just kind of off doing our own thing. And obviously as a team, that’s not how it’s supposed to go.”
The Panthers are clicking on all cylinders, resulting in a 9-1 record and are on a five game winning streak. The next competition for Panorama will be tomorrow in Creston for the Panther Invitational, beginning at 9am.
