The West Central Valley Boys Golf Team participated in the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 2A Sectional Meet in Clarinda on Wednesday, as junior Brock Taylor led the Wildcats.

West Central Valley captured 359 strokes as a team for seventh place, as Taylor shot 83 strokes. Following him was Wildcat sophomore Dylan Abbott and senior Bryce Vigon with 87 strokes, then it was senior Ben Howey’s 102, and freshman Braylon Miller concluding with 112 strokes.

Since West Central Valley was not one of the top-three teams in the section, and didn’t have any individuals that placed top-two outside of the qualifying schools, the Wildcats 2026 season is now over. However, West Central Valley finished the year with five victories, and will graduate four seniors of Vigon, Howey, Connor Beane, and Kade Wilson.
