The Panorama Boys Golf Team competed in the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 2A Sectional Meet on Wednesday in Clarinda, almost earning an automatic individual qualifier in senior Bryce Dawes.
The Panthers garnered sixth place overall as a team, behind Nodaway Valley and Interstate 35. The top three teams from each qualifying site advance to the district division, as well as the top two players from the non-qualifying schools. The top three teams that will be moving on to districts include Grand View Christian, Van Meter, and Clarinda. The next two individuals that will join them are Interstate 35’s Peter Nagel and Nodaway Valley’s Ty Rardin.
Panorama senior Bryce Dawes finished third on the individual side with 79 strokes, just outside the top two. Also, Panther junior Cole Carstens shot 85 strokes, followed by senior Brayden Galvan with 83, freshman Mason Cates had 86 strokes, then junior Jaxson Stuaffer and senior Latyn Ashworth concluded with 90 strokes.
The Panthers end the 2026 season with 27 team victories, and will graduate five seniors of Dawes, Galvan, Ashworth, Dylan Donovan, and Casey Young.
