The newest installation of the finalists for the Ring Out for Art Contest in downtown Jefferson are now on display.
Tower View Team is the organization that is running the 11th annual event, in partnership with the Greene County Board of Supervisors and financial supporter Home State Bank. TVT Chair Deb McGinn says the committee that selected four finalists had another tough decision to make.
“This year we had about 65 applicants for Ring Out for Art, which is amazing for our size of community. Every one of them were wonderful (and) it was a hard choice, but we always get it done.”
McGinn points out that the finalists are from Maryland, Minnesota and two from Nebraska and each finalist received a $1,000 stipend, furnished by Home State Bank, with voting for the People’s Choice winner beginning on June 1st. She notes that the winner will receive an additional $500. She adds that voting can only take place inside the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower and people can vote as many times as they want to. The names of the displays, the artists that made them and where they are from can be found below.
