As the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams gear up for the 2026 Iowa High School State Meet in Des Moines this week, the Tigers will have good depth at the competition.
The ADM Girls and Boys teams both won the Class 3A State Qualifying Meet site in Glenwood this past Thursday. For the girls, the Tigers are taking junior Isabelle Book in the 200 Meter Dash, freshman Livia Morse in the 400 Meter Dash, senior Elise Coghlan in the 100 Meter Hurdles and the 400 Meter Hurdles, senior Haley Nelson in the 100 Meter Hurdles, freshman Clara Uthe in the 400 Meter Hurdles, as well as senior Lauren Hagedorn in the Discus Throw and Shot Put.
ADM’s girls relays that qualified for state feature the 4×100 Meter Shuttle Hurdle, the 4×100, the 4×200, the 4×400, the 4×800, the 800 Sprint Medley, and the Distance Medley.
On the boys side, the Tigers will have sophomore Zane Johnson in the 100 Meter and 200 Meter Dash, junior Parker Hook in the 400 Meter Dash, senior Ty Landphair and sophomore Jack Leistikow in the 800 Meter Run, junior Reid Kluesner in the High Jump, and senior Nick Subbert in the Discus Throw.
ADM Boys will have several relay teams including the 4×100, 4×200, the 4×800, the Distance Medley, the 4×110 Meter Shuttle Hurdles, and the 800 Sprint Medley.
The Iowa High School Track and Field State Meet will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines this Thursday through Saturday. To see the full list of events, click on the respective link below.
