The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team will begin the 2026 regular season tonight in Adel, hosting Southeast Polk, as Raccoon Valley Radio will have the broadcast.

It’s not only the start of a new season for ADM, but under new leadership as Shawn Beenken is the Head Coach, taking over for Jason Book. A year ago, the Tigers finished with a record of 9-23, losing to Oskaloosa 10-0 in the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 3A Substate 8 First Round game. ADM junior Alex Jensen led the team with 25 runs scored in his sophomore campaign.

In the historical matchup, the Rams have won all seven contests against the Tigers, including a 13-3 victory last season. Tonight, Southeast Polk and ADM were originally supposed to play a doubleheader in Adel, but the contest will now be a single game at 4:30pm due to incoming weather.
