Work is continuing on the City of Perry’s Downtown Improvement Project.
Construction has started on Warford between 1st and 2nd Streets. Workers have also started to move back up the alley north towards the portion that was completed last fall.
The city reminds residents to follow all signs, cones, fences and marked paths as those are there to show you where it’s safe to walk.
The city adds that a special walking path has been set up so they can still get to the parking lot at the corner of Highway 144 and Warford Street.
Extra trash bins are out to help during the alley closure. Residents can put their trash in these bins, and the workers will take care of moving them.
The city thanks community members for being patient and careful while the construction continues.
