The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team played their second game of the season on Wednesday in Harlan, as the Tigers couldn’t quite pick up their first win, losing 2-0.
The game was scoreless through three complete innings, before Harlan Community was able to tally two runs in the bottom of the fourth, and that’s all they would need to secure the 2-0 victory. Despite the loss, ADM had three hits in the contest by sophomore Ben Grife as well as juniors Hudson Lewerke and Ben Plaisance. Plaisance was also on the mound for the Tigers, going four innings, surrendering one hit, two runs, walked a batter, and struck out two.
The Cyclones are now 1-1 on the season, while ADM drops to 0-2 to begin the year. Harlan Community will head to Sioux City tomorrow to face Bishop Heelan and the Tigers will resume their doubleheader versus Southeast Polk this afternoon, starting at 4:30pm from Tiger Field in Adel.
