The Greene County volleyball team went 2-3 in matches and 4-6 in games at the Oct. 5 Pella Invitational. The Rams were 21-17, 21-12 winners over Knoxville, and defeated North Mahaska (New Sharon) 21-7, 21-15. Greene County lost to Class 3A number one rated and undefeated Mediapolis 15-21, 10-21, to PCM (Monroe) 13-21, 20-22, and to Pella 11-21, 19-21.

The Rams are 9-13 in matches this season with Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play tonight (Mon.) in Jewell vs. South Hamilton to end conference play. The Rams are 4-4 in league matches. The regular season closes on Oct. 13 at the Johnston tournament before the Rams play 3A number 9 East Sac County in Lake View on Oct. 22 to begin regional play.
