An annual bike ride that supports the development of the proposed Perry, Bouton and Woodward trail connection will take off from Perry on Saturday, May 16th.
The Hiawatha Classic bike ride starts at Caboose Park and ends at the Hotel Pattee. Cyclists get to decide how much of the Raccoon River Valley Trail they want to ride, between 12 and 50 miles.
Pre-registration is $30 with a t-shirt or $15 with no shirt. Families, a maximum of two adults and children under the age of 13, can also sign up for $30 without t-shirts. Registration also includes breakfast in Caboose Park before the ride, a day pass at the McCreary Community Building and a post ride celebration at the Hotel Pattee.
