A deputy spoke to the owner of two dogs running at large in the 800 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction about issuing citations if she allows the dogs to continue to run off leash.

A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of Redwood Avenue to take custody of a bag of controlled substance that was found in a wooded area.

A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle near the school in Churdan.

A deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department were dispatched to a reported car fire at 210 Street and O Avenue. A 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier being driven by 15 year-old, was eastbound on 210th Street, when he lost control and drove into the ditch. The vehicle then caught on fire and was extinguished by Jefferson fire units. The minor was not injured, but his car was determined to be a total loss. The 15 year-old was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control.

A deputy assisted with locating a vehicle in Scranton that was involved in a reported hit and run accident in Jefferson earlier in the day.

A deputy and the Rippey Fire Department were dispatched to a brush fire in the 1900 block of 318th Street. The origin of the fire is under investigation at this time.

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a reported fight at Russell Park in Jefferson. It was reported that the three males were playing a physical game of basketball.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
