Perry Public Library card holders can now take advantage of a new opportunity thanks to the addition of the Transparent Languages program.

Library Director Mary Murphy says she has wanted to offer a language learning program for a while and felt this one was a good fit.

“It’s an online course that you can take that is totally free.  It has over 100 languages.  What I like about it is you can pick and choose what you want and how you learn the best.  It has all kinds of tutorials on it.”

Murphy says she toyed around with several different software options before deciding on one she feels will work for Perry and is user friendly.

“This is very straight forward.  I think anybody could sit down at their computer with their library card and do it.”
