Independence Day is a little over three weeks away and the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce is putting together plans for this year’s celebration.
Executive Director Bob Wilson says the focus in 2015 is on making this year’s Perry Chamber 4th of July Spirit Parade the best yet.
“We’ve had such great support in the past but we want to step it up, we want the whole town involved. If you haven’t had a float for a long time or you’re kicking tires, get a hold of me and I’m going to twist your arm (into doing it). The parade is awesome. It’s a great quality of live program that gets so many people out and about. It’s a great way to celebrate a holiday tradition. It’s going to be a fun parade and it’s going to be a great 4th of July. So please, get ready.”
The parade will take place Saturday, July 4th with lineup in the east Perry Plaza starting at 9am and the parade kicking off at 10.
