Euthanization of nearly one million birds has been completed at Rose Acre’s egg farm near Stuart. Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says the weather has not been cooperative in workers trying to bury the birds. “They had some left to bury towards the end of last week. But the particular day I talked to them it was raining. So they weren’t able to get out into the field to do that.”

Kempf is participating in conference calls with state officials three times per week to keep everybody updated on the local bird flu situation.
