Dallas County Supervisors Meeting Preview
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday.
Items on the agenda include setting a public hearing in regards to the County Engineer employment contract, discussion on a hardware maintenance contract and further discussion on the intercom, panic button system and exterior camera equipment at the courthouse.
A public hearing will then take place in regards to the reuse plan of a revolving loan fund and transfer to the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, followed by public hearings in regards to the final plat of Hickory Lodge plat #4 and a cardiac monitors purchase for the Emergency Medical Services department.
The Board will then consider operating transfers, review bids for ash tree treatment, get an update on the human resources campus project and hold a human resources workshop.
The meeting takes place at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
Special Election in Dallas County August 4th, Absentee Ballots Available Thursday
Voters across Dallas County will be asked whether or not they support the issuance of general obligation bonds to build a new public safety building outside Adel this summer.
A special election has been set for Tuesday, August 4th. Absentee ballots will be available starting Thursday for those who request them at the County Auditor’s office or via mail.
All U.S. citizens over the age of 18 who live in Dallas County, have not been convicted of a felony and are not currently judged by a court to be “incompetent to vote” are eligible to cast a ballot.
The deadline to register in advance is July 24th, though you can register on Election Day at the polling place if you bring proof of both residency and identity.
