Three members of the Perry High School baseball team earned All Raccoon River Conference honors as announced by the league coaches over the weekend.  Senior Will Whiton was selected as a first team honoree while senior catcher Zach Roberts and sophomore utility player Kyle Nevitt were placed on the Honorable Mention list.

Whiton led the Bluejays in just about every offensive and pitching category this season.  The senior led the team in batting average, home runs (tied), RBI’s, runs and stolen bases.  He also posted a sub 2.00 era and was one of the conference leaders in strikeouts.

Roberts was one of the elite defensive catchers in the conference.  He also enjoyed a solid season at the plate finishing with 21 RBI.

Nevitt hit above .300 and was the number two pitcher in the Perry rotation.

The complete All Conference team won’t be announced until all teams have been eliminated from the tournament.
