Postseason honors continue to roll in for the ADM softball program, as junior starter Molly Jacobsen and senior shortstop Kenzi Sutton were named to the Iowa Girls’ Athletic Coaches Association Class 4A All-State First Team.

Jacobsen was sensational inside the circle for the Tigers. She lead the entire state with 248 2/3 inning pitched and ranked fifth in Class 4A in ERA (1.27) and third in opponents’ batting average (.153). Her 386 strikeouts trailed only New London’s Morgan Christner among all classes.

The lefty also fired two no hitters, against Roland Story on June 13 and Indianola July 8, the latter of which was a nine-inning outing. Jacobsen stood out offensively as well, hitting .387 with a .685 slugging percentage, a team-high 16 doubles, seven home runs and 27 RBI.

Jacobsen trailed Sutton in every one of those categories except doubles. Committed to play for DMACC in the fall, Sutton lead the Tigers in hitting (.455), on-base percentage (.577), slugging (.871), runs scored (38), home runs (10), RBI (33) and walks (19).
